4th-grade girls!

The 4th-graders pulled even at 6-6 after falling behind 6-2 against Holy Family on Sunday. The girls battled hard, but came up on the short end. St. Paul was minus two girls, so everyone had to give it their all! Here’s some photos from recent games, courtesy of Wally Wieclaw. His granddaughter, Rylee, played a great game. Another one of his granddaughters, McKenna (age almost 2!), is a fixture at practices, and a future St. Paul player!

Gym banners!

Many thanks to the St. Paul PTO! They’ve agreed to purchase two banners to hang in our gym at a total cost of roughly $325. I asked for one; they said ‘why not two?’ And thanks to Ms. Ehasz for arranging the particulars to get them done. Each banner is 4 feet high and 8 feet long. They say ‘Saint Paul’ on the top line with an image of a tiger head in the middle of the two words. The bottom line reads ‘Home of the Tigers’ in script. The banners are orange and black. Anyone who’s not afraid of heights is welcome to help us hang them. They will be in some time after the first of the year!

Christmas Break

Parents, please take a moment to thank your coaches. They volunteer their time and all of them do a wonderful job teaching your daughters how to play basketball. No games for two weeks. Heading into the new year, our 8th grade team is a perfect 3-0 after a win over Spring Garden last weekend. And congrats to our 5th grade boys team, which beat St. Ambrose over the weekend 21-15 to improve to 1-2 on the season!

Third-graders!

Assistant Coach Jen Horton reports that players are picking up the concepts. As we all know, they don’t keep score in third-grade games, though everyone in the gym knows what the score is. The St. Paul third-graders scored 12 points in their game last weekend against St. Joseph, but who’s counting? Team members are Mary-Claire Smith, Maddie Misanko, Hannah McGraw, Alyson Misenhelter, Tara Lanham and Sidney Harrison!
